The high-speed impact test of glass reinforced aluminum laminate (GLARE) under the impact of flat-head bullets was carried out. The high-speed impact numerical model of GLARE laminates was established by ABAQUS finite element analysis software. The response and damage characteristics of GLARE laminates under high-speed impact were studied. On the basis of verifying its effectiveness, the numerical model of bullet impact GLARE with different diameters and different material properties was established to reveal the influence of bullet diameter, material properties and bullet shape on the high-speed impact resistance of GLARE. The results show that GLARE exhibit good impact resistance under high-speed impact. The bullet shape has the greatest influence on the high-speed impact resistance of GLARE, followed by the bullet material properties, while the bullet diameter has no significant effect on the high-speed impact resistance of GLARE.
