Abstract: A soil column with non-uniform section is taken from the infinitesubsoil. The vertical displacement of the subsoil is obtained from theone dimensional differential equation of wave propagation. Based on this,the dynamic random response of machine foundation subjected to the excitingforce of dynamic machine is computed.
