Abstract: In pipe laying and lifting analysis, the contactcondition between pipeline and seabed, including deflection, rotationangle and bending moment, is sometime tricky in a normal mechanicalmodel. Considering seabed deformation and pipeline bending, the truebackground and limitation of the contact condition are given in thispaper.
