Abstract:
The research on the injury during head-and-hoodcollision is important in determining the safety factorsduring the collision of pedestrians and cars. The problem is simplified inthis paper to the collision of a flexible ball andan elastic plate with largedeflection. With FEM, the dynamic response during head-and-hoodcollision is analyzed, based on which the influences of differentfactorson collision response are obtained. Finally, some guidance is put forwardfor designing the hood, which may have the function of protectingpedestrians.
