Abstract:
In this paper, the material parameters of fibresuspensions (kind and dimension of the fibre) show an importantinfluence upon turbulence. According to a simulation by the Phoenicssoftware, we can draw the following conclusions:the velocity gradients increase with the concentration for thesame kind of pulp suspension, and at the same time, the shear stress andthe difference of the radial concentrations increase; for the different kind ofpulp suspension, the shear stress of the wood pulp suspension is higherthan that of the straw pulp suspension in the same concentration; theconcentration of the pulp suspension is higher in the center, and lower at the wall surface, decreasing monotonously;the difference of the radial concentrations of the straw pulp suspensionis smaller than that of the wood pulp suspension.
