Abstract:
According to the overall requirements of the Mechanics “101 Plan”, this paper takes Zhejiang University as an example to explore its innovations and practices in the general education course of an overview of mechanics. By analyzing the educational and teaching background of the course, it elaborates in detail the specific measures and achievements of the course in terms of goal orientation, integration of ideological education, popularization of professional knowledge, and synergy between science/technology and humanities education. It demonstrates how the course helps freshmen achieve the systematic planning of “having dreams in their hearts, paths under their feet, and light in their eyes”, aiming to provide a beneficial reference example for the general education reform of mechanics-related disciplines.
