Abstract:
This study addresses the practical requirements and developmental objectives of engineering mechanics students in the “Strengthening Foundation Plan”. Through analyzing current integrated education practices and emerging trends, we conduct a preliminary investigation into innovative teaching approach for the dynamics and control core course in our university. Taking the kinematics part of theoretical mechanics as an example, a set of teaching schemes for the coordinated integration of knowledge, thinking, and quality has been developed. It includes aligning classroom teaching content with the needs of advanced courses, considering the improvement of thinking ability in thinking question and exercise training, and explaining teaching cases in combination with the background of interdisciplinary subjects. Thus, the concept of integrated cultivation is comprehensively reflected in the theoretical mechanics course. It provides some ideas and references for improving the academic taste and broadening the academic vision of students in the “Strengthening Foundation Plan”, and fulfilling the training goals of engineering scientists and research-oriented engineers.
