Abstract:
According to the overall requirement of Mechanics “101 Plan”, this article discusses the positioning and the design of the theoretical mechanics course. After defining the boundaries of the design, it proposes design requirements and principles. The theoretical mechanics teaching content is divided into three parts: the foundational section, the advanced section, and the cutting-edge section, with designed teaching modules included in each respectively. Using the teaching practices of Tsian Excellence Program, Xingjian College, and the engineering majors at Tsinghua University as examples, it introduces the diverse teaching approaches attempted in the theoretical mechanics course at Tsinghua University.
