Identify and Refine Dimensionless Intrinsic Governing Parameters

  • 摘要: 本文通过几个典型示例来展现工程塑性力学和结构冲击动力学的一些问题中可能存在关键的无量纲內禀参数,它们控制着结构的响应模式和变形特征。因此,如果能够在无量纲化和理论建模的过程中有意识地找寻、辨识和提炼出这些无量纲內禀参数,那么对于理解和预测结构在极端条件下的力学行为,以及对于在设计初期选取材料、构型和主要几何参数,都具有极大的意义。

     

    Abstract: This article uses typical examples to show that key dimensionless intrinsic parameters may exist in some problems of engineering plasticity and structural impact dynamics, which govern the response mode and major deformation characteristics of the solid/structure. Therefore, if this kind of dimensionless intrinsic parameters can be consciously found, identified and refined in the process of non-dimensionalization and theoretical modeling, it will be of great significance for understanding the deformation mechanisms and predicting the mechanical behavior of structures under extreme conditions, as well as for selecting materials, configurations and main geometric parameters in the early stages of design.
