Abstract:
Artificial intelligence presents both opportunities and challenges for higher education of mechanics, urging educators to continuously explore and apply new teaching approaches to better meet the needs of the educatee and society. We discuss the undergraduate mechanics education in the era of artificial intelligence, including theoretical frameworks, knowledge graphs, and several feasible approaches, with the aim of empowering a new learning ecosystem in mechanics education characterized by “student-in-the-loop”, “dual-brain construction” and “embodied Intelligence”.
