Abstract: This paper firstly proposes a simple method for determining the statically indeterminate degree based on the redundant constraint on displacement. Secondly, an effective method for reducing the statically indeterminate degree is discussed by means of decomposing a general load into symmetrical and antisymmetrical loads.
