Abstract:
The piezoelectric actuator/sensor pairs are employed to actively control the vibration of the three-span sandwich beam with hourglass lattice truss core. Theoretical model of the three-span lattice sandwich beam is established by the Hamilton’s principle. By using the assumed mode method and the standard eigenvalue method, the dynamic analysis of the sandwich beam structure is finished. The simulation model is built by using FEM (finite element method) to verify the effectiveness and correctness of the theoretical results. Furthermore, the piezoelectric materials are used to investigate the effectiveness of active vibration control method on multi-span sandwich beams, in which the sensor and actuator are bonded on the top sheet and bottom sheet, respectively. Time-history and frequency response results demonstrate the effectiveness of active vibration control method. This method has certain guiding significance for the vibration control of multi-span sandwich beam structures.
