Abstract:
A new composite geophone, with a number ofadvantages such as high sensitivity, heavy damping ratio and lowoutput impedance, is developed based on micro-electronic technology,which isadopted to modify the geophone frequency characteristics in the main frequencyregion to approach the acceleration characteristics by increasing dampingof the geophone. The in-situ testing results show that the datarecorded by the composite geophone have high S/N ratio, high visualfrequency and strong energy, and the geophone has the ability tocompensate the high frequency energy and to widen the bandwidth ofseismic wavelet, and can be used for high resolution seismic explorations.
