Abstract: in this paper, dynamic exciting forcesacting on the body of a two-stage helical gear unitare tested and analyzed by putting the ring ontoouter ring of bearings and sticking the strain-gaugeon the ring.The conclusions about the major fac-tors affecting dynamic exciting forces of a gear unitare derived from the test information, which are veryuseful for dynamic design and fault diagnosis of gearunits.
