Abstract:
Dynamic vibration absorbers (DVA) are an important part of vibration courses, with rigorous theory and wide engineering applications. However, this aspect poses challenges in both teaching and learning. The author reviews and summarizes descriptions of dynamic vibration absorbers in classic vibration textbooks by Den Hartog, S.Timoshenko, and others until recently. Based on the definition of the additional system damping ratio, the author uses variable substitution to simplify the process and provides a method for obtaining optimal damping ratio parameters. Additionally, several teaching suggestions are provided for the entire process of dynamic vibration absorber theoretical analysis, with the hope of enhancing the teaching and learning of dynamic vibration absorber content.
