EXPERIMENTAL STUDY OF PULL-OUT TEST FOR SMA FIBER

Photoelasticity technique is employed to examine thepull-out process of a single SMA fiber from an elastic matrix. Theforce-displacement curves and stress distributions due to martensite transformationare obtained. The experimental results compare favorably with the analyticalmodel.
