The theory of fracture mechanics is applied to welding process in turbine runner

This paper proposes an analysis model for stress intensityfactor of cracks in non penetrated welds between the blade andthe crown (or the band) of turbine runner. According to the model and FEA, an example is calculated to decide the allowed length of welds between blade and crown (orband).
