SIMULATED EXPERIMENTAL STUDY ON INFRARED THERMAL IMAGE OF BOLT AND ROCK

  • The infrared radiation experiments on bolt and rock in theprocess of loading were carried out. It is found that the infraredradiation temperatures of non-bolted block rise as a whole and uniformlybefore thestress peak, with the increase of loading, the sustaining ability ofblock isincreased after fixing the bolt. The infrared radiation temperature alsorises significantly. The bolted rock sees a local dissimilation in the thermal imageafter the stress peak. The multi-layer round infrared radiation isothermal linesare formed around bolt. The closer from the bolt centre, the higher willbe the temperature, thefarther away from the bolt centre, the lower temperature will be. Thetemperature isgradually reduced from inside to outside. The change of infrared radiationtemperature fields responds to the stress fields around bolt.
