STATIC CHARACTERISTICS OF SINGLE-LAYER LATTICE DOMES AND ITS INFLUENCE FACTOR

The single-layer lattice dome geometry model isestablished by using beam elements in the FE software------MSC. Patran. The domeis analyzed for three different sections and different number ofconstraints. According the results, the sensitivity of thedimension of the section to the stress and deformation is calculated,the static characteristics of the dome and its influence factors areobtained.%The results are very valuable for designing and optimizing the similar structure domes.
