APPLICATION OF THE PRINCIPLE OF MINIMUM POTENTIAL ENERGY WITH MIXED VARIABLES FOR BEAMS WITH LARGE DEFLECTIONS

  • Based on the principle of minimum potential energywith mixed variables for beams with large deflections, the paperpresents an approximate method for cylindricalbending of large deflections of panels with two edges fixed. From theresults it is shown that the method is effective and enjoys a high precision.
