FINITE ELEMENT SIMULATION OF MODAL ANALYSIS IN STRUCTURAL DYNAMICS BY PARALLEL COMPUTING

  • On the basis of modal synthesis analysis, a parallelalgorithm of solving large-scale structural eigenproblems is presented inthis paper. The eigenmodes of the structure are obtained using a subspaceiterative parallel method. The substructure subspace iterative method isimplemented using the stiff matrix and mass matrix of the substructureswithout assembling the stiff and mass matrix of the whole structure. Thenumerical results show that this parallel algorithm is effective for largescale structure eigenproblems
