STRONGLY NON-LINEAR INVERSE SCATTERING FOR ELASTIC PARAMETERS IN HALF-SPACE

  • The inversion of strong scatterer imbedded in thehalf-space is a practical, but very difficult problem of strongnon-linearity.The Born iterative method is only suitable to weakly non-linearproblems. Based on DBI(distorted Born iterative) method, an iterationalgorithm is proposed for solving this kind of strongly non-linear problems.In the numerical simulation process the moment method is employed fordiscretization and the resulting ill-conditioned matrix equation is solvedthrough the regularization technique. The numerical results show that thisapproach can converge fast and achieve a high accuracy.
