THICK/THIN PLATE RECTANGULAR ELEMENT BASED ON FINITE STRIP

Based on the beam theory of two generalized displacements, the trial function is used to construct the displacement functions.Further the generalized thick/thin beam is established. Appling the method,the generalized thick/thin plate element isconstructed based on the finite strips. Numerical analysis is carried out totest the theory in this paper. Results show that this element is excellentwith high precision and free from shear locking.
