A LASER SPECKLE INTERFEROMETRY METHOD TO MEASURE THE COEFFICIENT OF THERMAL EXPANSION OF MATERIALS

  • In this paper, a laser speckle interferometry method usingstandard specimens is used to measure the coefficient of thermalexpansion (CTE). It can avoid the precise measurement of temperatureand it only uses the testing data of thermal deformations on thespecimens. With relatively simple experimental equipments CTE ofmaterials can be obtained with high precision.
