Abstract
A one-dimensional theory of the orientational motion of the director vector isgiven for Poiseulle flow in tube and the fiber spinning flow of LCP fluid.In the investigation, the polariscope is used to take microstructuralphotos of the thermotropic and lyotropic liquid crystalline polymerwhich shows the anisotropic characters of the material. Experimentalinvestigation on the rheological and rheo-optical behaviour of the HPCis reported. The experimental results are given by photos and figures.
