IMPROVEMENT IN ANALYSIS OF QUASI-STATIC COLLAPSE WITH LS-DYNA

Quasi-static collapse simulations of thin-wall-tubesare performed with Ls-Dyna code. To reduce the computational time,the speed of quasi-static loading is increased. Studies are conductedwith different loading speeds. A range of the load speed used for thesimulation is specified. This method is compared with MassScaling method integrated into Ls-Dyna.
