A STUDY ON HYDRAULIC ROD CONTROLLED AUTOMBILE CRASH SIMULATION ABSORBER

This paper presents in detail the basic structure andoperating principle of a new type automobile crash simulation absorberbased on the hydraulic rod control method, and gives the mathematical modelof the system and the design method of the control rod. Thevelocity and acceleration data obtained from the tests agree with those ofthe actual crashes very well, and the device can be used for thestudy of a passive safety system, and the method can be used to designother absorbers.
