THE OPTIMUM RELEASE ANGLE IN SHOT PUT

By using the superposition principle of motions todecompose the projectile motion of the shot into a combination of tworectilinear motions, this paper proposes a new simple method to analyzethe optimum release angle in shot put. The results are compared withthose obtained by the traditional methods under two different conditions.
