A 3-D BIOMECHANICAL MODEL OF HUMAN KNEE-JOINT WITH RIGIDLY ARTICULATE CONTACT

  • Based on the characterizations of human knee-joint anatomical structures and reports in the literature and experiments, a 3-D biomechanical model of the human knee-joint with rigidly articulate contact is developed in this paper. This model can be used as a tool for functional analysis of the knee for the evaluation of surgical and diagnostic procedures, and for the design of axtificial joints.
