ON THE TENSILE STRESS THEORY FOR UPSETTING CIRCULAR CYLINDER BY OPTICAL PLASTICS METHOD

  • Upsetting of a circular' cylinder between plates is studied by optical plasticity method. The photoplasticity and incremental theory are used to calculate the stress of upsetting circular cylinder. The results agree well with the qualitative physical simulation. The tensile stress theory of a rigidplastic mechanical model on upsetting circular cylinder is improved.
