CACULATION OF CRITICAL BUCKLING LOAD FOR CASING STRING SUBJECTED TO LIQUID PRESSURE BY ENERGY METHOD

This paper presents an energy equilibrium equation of casing string subjected to liquid pressure and the corresponding critical buckling load formula. The obtained result is lower than other reported values. The internal and external pressure on buckling of casing string is equivalent to an axial force and a liquid string weight force.
