FINITE ELEMENT ANALYSIS OF LEFT VENTRICULAR WALL MOTION

  • In this paper, focusing on the wall motion of the human left ventricle, a personalized heart model is constructed by combining a generic model with physical point cloud data of the left ventricle extracted from computed tomography (CT) images. The open-source software Differential Equations Analysis Library (Deal.II) is utilized for wall motion simulation, and a complete open-source simulation process is established. The Neo-Hookean model and Holzapfel-Gasser-Ogden (HGO) model, and the effects of different simulation parameters on the left ventricular deformation, volume change and stress distribution were also explored.
