Abstract
The analysis of a rod sliding against a wall is crucial for enhancing students' ability to apply their knowledge of physics to solve practical problems. The sliding process of a uniformly distributed vertical rod leaning against a wall is analyzed in this paper. Through modeling the rod's sliding process, the equation of the center of mass trajectory and the dynamic equation during the sliding process are derived. The motion laws of the rod during the sliding process are obtained by solving the dynamic equations under different conditions. It focuses on discussing the equilibrium conditions of the rod at the wall corner, emphasizing the analysis of the supporting force during sliding, the critical separation angle under different contact surfaces and initial conditions, and the subsequent motion of the rod after detaching from the wall surface.
