Abstract
Offshore CO2 storage is an effective measure to realize the strategy of the carbon peaking and carbon neutrality in China. When liquid CO2 (LCO2) is injected into ocean with the offshore platforms for storage, the floating hoses can be used as the pipelines in the LCO2 transportation process. In this paper, a composite structural form of floating LCO2 transportation hose is proposed according to the current standards and transportation requirements, the finite element model is also developed. The damage states of hose are evaluated under the internal pressure, tensile and bending loads. The variation patterns of the damage state of reinforced steel wires and reinforced cords with load are obtained. The influence law of the helix angle of the reinforced steel wire on the mechanical properties of the hose is investigated, and the helix angle is optimized. This study can provide technical reference for the design and selection of floating LCO2 transportation hose.
