Abstract
The author has previously held a long-standing position at the university, actively contributing to the fields of mechanics and aerospace through teaching and scientific research. Notably, the author later serves as the chief designer of China’s manned space program, working on the overall design and technical management of manned space engineering. Drawing upon the author’s educational and teaching background in aerospace and mechanics, as well as the unique working experience in both academia and national major projects, this paper not only presents the author’s thinking on aerospace engineering and higher education but also delves into the author’s personal journey as a student. By examining representative cases in engineering technology management and decision-making in which the author was directly involved, and emphasizing the indispensable role of foundational training in mathematics and mechanics, this paper ultimately presents the author’s expectations and suggestions for students' learning and personal development at the university level.
