THE WISDOM OF FLUID MECHANICS BEHIND THE MYSTERIOUS “SUBMARINE CIRCLE”

The mysterious “submarine circle” is an extraordinarily exquisite fish nest created on the seabed by the torquigener pleurogramma for courtship and reproduction. This paper introduces its structural characteristics and formation process and discusses the flow mystery behind it in combination with the comparison of other fish nests. Finally, the possible engineering application scenarios of the structure morphology are discussed.
