Abstract
In order to analyze the mechanical behavior of fiber reinforced plastics pipeline with defects under traffic load, a pipeline model with different shape defects and a pipe-soil model with different buried depths were established based on ABAQUS finite element software, and the influences of different buried depths, loads and defect depths on the distribution of circumferential stress in different sections of the pipeline were studied. The results show that the stress distribution in each layer of the fault-free pipe is uniform, and the stress in the inner layer of the fault-containing pipe concentrates at the symmetrical angle of the defect along the winding direction of the pipe. The stress peak and stress mutation amplitude of pipe body are the largest when the pipe contains only axial defects. The relative depth of defects has great influence on the stress peak.
