COMPARISON OF DISPLACEMENT CALCULATION METHODS FOR A STEPPED BEAM

  • In order to deepen students' understanding of displacement method and displacement calculation of a stepped beam, the displacement of a stepped simply-supported beam is independently solved by integral method, conventional graph multiplication method, stiffness superposition method and displacement method respectively. The calculation results show that the displacement method to solve the displacement of the stepped simply-supported beam has a unique advantage. It can significantly reduce the computational workload and improve the accuracy of the calculation, which is worth popularizing in the teaching process.
