TRAJECTORY DESIGN AND FUNCTION REQUIREMENT ANALYSIS OF MANNED LUNAR POLAR EXPLORATION MISSION

  • Lunar polar is the critical concerned area of a new round manned lunar exploration throughout the world, the detection of which is more valuable and difficult than the low latitude area. For the future lunar polar exploration, the manned flight trajectory program and the Earth–Moon return transfer orbit design are proposed in this paper. Through the analysis of the trajectory characters, the reachable domain of the lunar transfer orbit and the departure domain of the earth transfer orbit were obtained, and the function requirements of the vehicle were analyzed based on the Moon–Earth transfer window and the duration of lunar stay time. The results can be used as references for the mission design of the future manned lunar polar exploration.
