RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT OF HYDROGEN-ENRICHED DOMESTIC GAS APPLIANCES

  • Hydrogen-enriched natural gas (HENG) type domestic gas appliances are key end products for the implementation of the “hydrogen into homes” strategy. This paper introduces the research and development of the HENG domestic gas appliances from Vanward, which have solved the problem of determining the limit gas characteristics, and with respect to the material compatibility, leakage control, low stress control, HENG ready, etc., which have proposed requirements and implementation plans for technical measures for adaptation of HENG with a hydrogen ratio of 0~20%. At the same time, Vanward's research and development results of HENG domestic gas appliances provide a “HENG ready” solution with reasonable technical and economical benefits for the large-scale application of HENG.
