A SPECIAL SUPERPOSITION METHOD FOR CALCULATING BENDING DEFORMATION OF BEAMS

The bending deformation is one of the core contents of mechanics of materiails. Based on the theory of bending deformation of beams, and the bending deformation of cantilevers, a “special superposition method” for solving the bending deformation of beams is proposed. This method is particularly convenient and effective for calculating the deformation of simply supported beams, overhanging beams and variable stiffness beams.
