Abstract
Substructure synthesis method based on frequency response function is an important way of engineering design. This study employs the equivalent multi-point connection (EMPC) method to solve the problem of the mismatch of the rotational degree of freedom of the interface in the substructure synthesis method. The feasibility of this method for the estimation of frequency response function of rotational degree of freedom in cylindrical shell structures is verified by numerical simulation and experimental study. Frequency response functions related to rotational degree of freedom calculated by the EMPC method are compared with results of finite element simulation. Results show that the EMPC method has high accuracy and can be used in the substructure synthesis method based on frequency response function.
