APPLICATION OF CT TECHNOLOGY TO CONCRETE MESO-DAMAGE MEASUREMENT

The applications of X-ray CT technique to detectthe internal meso cracks in concrete are reviewed in this paper,including real time detection,CT image analyses, the law of crack growth, the evolution of damage anddamage variables, and 3-D reconstructions. The result shows that theCT technology is an effective observation method. The existing problems are how to obtainprecise CT images under various experimental conditions. Finally a new approach is proposed.
