Movement of slider on a plan

Under the assumption of rigid ground plan, the equations that control the movement of a slider on the plan are ambiguous and no solution can be obtained from them. In this paper,we study this problem based on the elastic ground assumption and give an explanation of why friction can excite vibration according to the insight of the solutions.
