ANALYSIS OF THE INTERNAL FLOW IN A TRANSONIC AXIAL-FLOW COMPRESSOR UNDER INLET DISTORTION

  • Under the inlet pressure distortion, the internal 3D viscousflow fields of the transonic axial-flow compressor is numerically analyzedusing the full passage method, based on afinite volume method and the Spalart-Allmaras turbulent model. Theperformance for the compressor and the internal flow structureare analyzed in detail under the inlet distortion condition. Compared with experimentaldata, good agreements are found, which indicates that the model and the methodare practical and reliable.
