STEADY DYNAMIC RESPONSE AND CALCULATION ON ASPHALT PAVEMENT SUBJECTED TO MOVING LOAD

  • In our study on the steady response of asphalt pavementsubjected to moving load, the asphalt pavement is considered as aninfinite long elastic beam on Kelvinviscous-elastic foundation. The mathematical model of steady response of thebeam is established. The relationship between the steady response and thetransient response is obtained, an approximate analytic solution of steadyresponse is obtained from the transient response analysis solution. Based onthe parameters of road, an example is calculated.The calculation results show thatas long as the zone of response is enough far from the initialpoint, the transient response of the asphalt pavement subjected to somevehicle load is a steady response. Therefore, a simple method is providedfor obtaining the asphalt pavement steady response.
