THEORETICAL ANALYSIS OF BOLT PULLOUT BASED ON PERFECT ELASTO-PLASTIC MODEL

  • Based on the assumption that the shear force and the sheardisplacement between the bolt and the surrounding soil follow aperfect elasto-plastic model, an analytical solution for the anchor pulloutresistance is derived. According to the field uplift tests of grouted boltsburried in mucky soil, the pullout resistance of bolt iscalculated by the formula and compared with that directly obtained fromtests. A good agreement is obtained.
