RESEARCH ON NEMATIC MECHANISM OF HIGH STRENGTH FIBER OF LIQUID CRYSTALLINE POLYMER

  • Using the transport equation for nematic liquid,the orientational motion of fiber spinning flow of liquid crystallinepolymer (LC) is studied, including steady and unsteady flows. Using theLagrange approach, the stability of the fiber spinning flow is investigated. Theconclusion is drawn that the fiber spinning flow of LC polymer isstable, which serves as the basis of the nematic mechanism of high strength of the fiber ofthe LC polymer.
