REFORM AND PRACTICE OF TEACHING FLUID MECHANICS FOR CIVIL ENGINEERING

  • Fluid mechanics is a required basic course for the undergraduates majoring in civil engineering speciality. Because fluid mechanics involves many abstract concepts, complex formula derivations, and high techniques of mathematics and mechanics, it is generally recognized as one of the most difficult courses for teachers and students as well. Based on the teaching practice of fluid mechanics for many years, this paper investigates the teaching reform of this course from the aspects of teaching content, teaching methods, teaching means and teaching links. The teaching reform measures mentioned in this paper may provide reference for other teachers who also teach fluid mechanics.
