THE NORTH WIND SCRAPES THE GROUND, THE FLEABANE DESTROYED——TALKING ABOUT TURBULENT BOUNDARY LAYER AND VORTEX STRUCTURES IN IT

  • Through appreciating of the description of the north wind and the snow in "A Song of White Snow on Secretary Wu's Return to Capital" and "A Song of Running-horse River in Farewell to General Feng of the Western Expedition" by the famous frontier fortress poet, Cen Shen, in Tang Dynasty, the reason why "The north wind scrapes the ground, the fleabane destroyed" is explained from the view of fluid mechanics. The forefront of the fundamental research of the turbulence, and the complex vortex structures in the turbulent boundary layer are introduced in the meantime.
